Bonham Lady Warriors split 2 games at tournament in Carrollton Thursday

The Bonham Lady Purple Warriors softball team split 2 games at the tournament of champions in Carrollton, Tx., Thursday.

The Lady Warriors (2-1) shutout the Irving Lady Tigers 5-0 in their fist game. The host team, the Creekview Mustangs beat Bonham in their second game 2-0.

“We played two solid games,” Bonham Lady Purple Warriors head coach Micky Englutt said. “Game two we just didn’t get the hit we needed.”

Lady Warrior pitcher Reyleigh Shockley pitched well in the loss

Coach Englutt said it was tough losing when your pitcher only gave up 1 hit. The pitcher is Reyleigh Shockley who struck out 5 Mustangs in the 3 innings. The game was called because of the 50 minute time limit.
” We’re getting lots of reps that are helping us improve and that’s what we need right now,” Coach Englutt said.
