The Bonham Lady Purple Warrior softball team blanked the Wolfe City Lady Wolves 14-0 Tuesday at Bonham Lady Warrior Field in Bonham.
The game was called after 4 and 1/2 innings because of the 10-run-rule.
Reyleigh Shockley pitched 5 innings for Bonham, allowing no runs, 2 hits, striking out 13 and allowing no walks.
Lady Purple Warrior head coach Micky Englutt said his pitcher was solid
“Reyleigh had another solid outing,” Bonham Lady Purple Warrior head coach Micky Englutt said. “Offensevly we stayed in the zone and did a good job not expanding outside the strike zone.”
Bonham second baseman Jewyll Hemby was 2-for-3 with a double, 3 RBI and 3 runs scored. Shockley was 2-for-2 with a double 2 RBi and 2 runs scored.
Alayna Laisy was 1-for-3 with an RBI and 2 runs scored.
The Bonham Lady Purple Warriors (7-2) play in the JJ Pearce varsity invitational Thursday through Saturday. Their Thursday games vs North Forney and Quinlan will be broadcast live on Rewind 103.9 FM and on line at radiorwind1039.com.
The Lady Purple Warriors first game Thursday will begin at 2 p.m. with the second game to follow shortly after their first game.
