Adolis Garcia’s 11th inning walk off home-run in the bottom of the 11th inning launched the Texas Rangers to a 6-5 World Series game 1 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Game was played at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Tx.
It was Garcia’s 5th straight game with a home run in the post season this year.
Garcia finished the game 3-for 4 with with 2 RBI, a BB and stolen base.
Corey Seager sent the game to extra innings with a 2 run blast
Corey Seager sent the game into extra innings with a 2-run home run in the ninth.
Rangers left fielder Evan Carter was 2-for-6 with 2 doubles, 1 RBI and a run scored. Carter, who is just 21 years old has reached base in each of the 13 post season games played this year.
Rangers reliever Jose Leclerc was the winning pitcher for Texas. Leclerc pitched the final 2 innings allowing no hits and striking out two.
The Rangers lead the World Series 1-game-to-none. Game 2 is Saturday 7:30 p.m. at Globe Life Field.
Jordan Montgomery will start on the mound for Texas Saturday. The Diamondbacks will throw Merrill Kelly.
